Aqueduct
Aqueduct Global Maps 3.0 Data
Deprecated version WRI's Aqueduct data. Complex hydrological data condensed into intuitive indicators of water-related risk at the basin level. 13 baseline water risk indicators spanning quantity, quality, and reputational concerns and future projections of water supply, demand, stress, depletion, and variability based on CMIP5 climate projections for 2020, 2030, and 2040.
Caution: This data is part of a research archive and represents outdated or legacy data. The latest and best iteration of WRI's Aqueduct water stress data is available in Version 4.0.
Certain important elements are partially missing from the Aqueduct indicator framework in the areas of water management and governance practices.
The composite index methodology is inherently lossy at the individual indicator level and in the decontextualization to enable comparisons across indicators.
This data combines and merges data with highly varied spatial resolutions and collection methodologies.
