Global 30-m annual short vegetation height maps (2000-2024)

Caution: Upon release this data provides state of the art information about vegetation height in open ecosystems but it does have some limitations. The model performs best in short to mid-height vegetation (1 to 7 meters), with reduced accuracy for very short vegetation (under half a meter) and underestimation of the tallest vegetation. This is partly due to the minimum detection limit of ICESat-2 and the model’s conservative bias in the upper range.
